My windshield wiper was frozen to the windshield, and when I started it, I didn't know it was stuck. I freed the wipers, only to find that they are now cycled off in the up position. I can cycle just fine, intermit and everything, but off is up. Suggestions?

The same thing happened to me. I had to take it to the dealership anyway for another problem, and they took a look at the wipers. They said I had just put too much strain on the wipers trying to turn them on with heavy snow/ice. They took out the wiper motor, cleaned it up and got them back to working fine, and they did it free of charge.

Be careful because I've heard to get the motor replaced is rather costly, and I know several people who've had to have that done this winter with all the snow & ice we've had in this area.
