Not starting

When we turn the ignition to try to start, the engine turns over once. Then when we try again nothing happens. Dash lights come on but that's all.
The battery is new.
Seems to be an immobilizer problem.

Unfortunately, we don't have a manual for this vehicle as it is not offered here in the USA. However, is the theft light staying on when you are trying to start it?

If so, then this is an immobilizer issue. So, we need to run through this guide to see if this helps with disabling it:

If it doesn't then we are going to need to scan for codes and see if there is a code that points to a specific issue in this system:
