Key will not turn in the ignition after replacing the starter?

They don't have anything to do with each other except for wiring. Can you cycle the gear shifter from low gear to park three times and then put it in park to see if the key will turn? If not, it sounds like the ignition switch has come apart internally. Please go over this guide and i have included how to change the ignition lock out in the images below:

You can get a programmed ignition lock from the dealer FYI. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
