Key will not turn the ignition?

I sprayed some key lube stuff in my ignition now it won't turn at all tried moving the steering wheel back and forth still it didn't turn.
Does anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate it.

It sounds like the lock tumbler has fallen apart internally which is common, I would try moving the shifter while working the lock, also I have seen people tap the key with a hammer.

If this doesn't work, you can call a mobile locksmith or get a new lock and replace it yourself. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response to the problem so we can see what's going on.

I have tried everything it is not turning. Do you think I could possibly drill it out enough so maybe I could turn the ignition? Thank you

Yep, many people do just that, drill the lock out and use a standard screwdriver as the key.

My key will not turn the switch I have done everything and ii isn't working. What I was going to do was maybe I could drill it out enough and maybe get a screwdriver in it and turn it to accessories and then I could pop it out and put a cylinder in it. So what do you think is it possible? Thank You

I am going to replace my whole ignition assembly. Can someone tell me will I be able to do this with the steering column in and is there anything else I should know before I do this, I would appreciate it.

Apparently you need to remove the steering column to replace the key lock, here is how in the images below. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
