I drove to work, locked the doors with the key fob. At noon, I took something out to my truck. The key fob wouldn't work, so I unlocked the door with the key. This set off the alarm and I put the key into the ignition, but didn't start it. Afterwards, I locked the door with the key. When I got off work, I unlocked the door and started the truck. It ran for about 5 seconds and shut down. I did it again and it did the same thing.when I tried again, there was no sound at all. All accessories worked, but not the engine. When I popped the hood, I found that my ground cable on the brand new battery was loose. Could this have caused the key fob to lose the programming?
