Key Fob not working?

My key fob won't work to lock or unlock my car and it won't turn in the ignition. It does, however, unlock the steering wheel when inserted in the ignition. It has brand new batteries and the red led lights flash appropriately when the buttons are pressed.

Hi,

There is a technical service bulletin (TSB) related to this problem. The transmitter key needs to be replaced.

If you have a spare key, see if it works. Also, take a look at the attached pics below of the TSB listed.
