Key fob week signal?

I have to be less than 5 feet away from the car for the key fob to work. All the buttons work okay, and it has a new battery in it too. I have owned this car for 3 years; it has always been this way.

So, what happens is the door lock remote control receives gets weak and needs to be replaced. Here is the location and how to replace it in the images below. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

It’s not only the door lock, it is also a problem with remote start. I have to be within 5 feet to remote start the vehicle too.

And I thank you for helping me with this… This problem must not occur often because I can’t find any parts house that has a door lock receiver for sale.

Andy, Ken is probably right, and the fob is getting weak, change the battery and then hold the key under your neck touching your head and try the button. i know this is not a conventional answer but sometimes I have seen it work. Let us know if it works for you.
