Hello,

I appreciate this website and free advise. I have the vehicle listed above S model. I have had the problem of a very jarring ride for the past year. It has always felt that going over small bumps etc on the road, the car transfers all the energy to the chassis and there is no damping. I have recently changed the following:

Front:
Struts, links, sway bar bushings, upper shock mounts, upper and lower control arms

Rear:
Same components (one control arm)

Alignment done after that as well.

The car seemed better for a few days and now seems back to square one. The car rides like I am driving a golf cart. Every bump jerks the whole car and there is no damping at all.

I am wondering if you might have experienced something like this in the past and have some tips on how I can save my car from trade-in.

Thanks so much.

Assuming you do not have air suspension based on the parts you replaced. If this is the case then the only thing I can think is the spring itself has an issue. The reason is, your spring carries the weight of the vehicle and the shock just dampens it. So if you are getting harsh riding then I suspect a spring issue. If it was very bouncy or soft I would expect the shock was the issue. When you installed new shocks/struts then it was able to carry a little more of the weight until it wore it out. Now its back to there way it was.

We need to inspect for broken coils or any issue with them. Let me know what you find and we can go from there.
