The SUV jerks and jumps between 1000 and 2000 rpm's until it reaches forty mph then it drives fine as long as its over forty mph.

try cleaning throttle plate on both sides and IAC hole with choke cleaner, it may be sticky doing that. it is on engine at end of air duct easy to do.
