I have a 92 Jeep Wrangle. When I turn the key all the way, it cranks but does not start. I leave the key on and wait. About 20 minutes later, the fuel pump relay will click on/off for about a minute. Then turning the key, it always starts. Before the clicking, no fuel pressure, after the clicking, good fuel pressure. If the Jeep sets for a few hours, I need to wait the 20 minutes for the clicking again.
I have changed the plugs, cables, cap, rotor, coil, and fuel filter. The shop says the PCM is fine. I have removed the relay cover and forced the switch closed. I hear the fuel pump come on, but no pressure is built. But 20 minutes later, everything is okay again.
What should I try next?
