hard starting wrangler

95 jeep wranger 2.5 l 4cyl engine

Recently my jeep has become hard to start especially when cold. I noticed check engine light does not come on immediately when i turn the ignition switch on. after about 4to 6 times cranking the engine it does come on and the engine start and runs perfectly. When the engine is warm it is a LITTLE easier to start. Everything electrical.(tuneup parts including the coil has been replaced. The fuel tank and lines were replaced about 2 yrs ago so i assume the fuel pump was replaced.
Any ideas!

I have the identical problem with my 94 wrangler. Did you figure out what was causing your problem?

I had the same problem. Wouldn't start under about 65 degrees. Initially thought it was a fuel pump because I could hear a clicking sound like a relay building pressure in the fuel line. Ended up being my ECM. After trying several things I realized that I could use a hair blow dryer and heat up the ECM for 4-5 minutes and the engine would crank. I also learned that by turning on the ignition switch, without cranking it, for several minutes that it would also work but not as good. The hair dryer was much faster and worked every time.
Concluded that the ECM must have an electronic component or solder joint that is affected by the colder temps.
Also learned that YJ ECM's are interchangeable as long as it is the same engine size and transmission type.
