I have experienced periodic shaking, what I thought was unbalanced tires due to mud, gravel, or snow in my rims. Now at high speeds, typically when I hit a bump on a curve, I experience violent shaking and the only way to stop it is to hit another bump like the shoulder of the road or completely stop and start again.

I have been to the dealership and the answer is the steering damper aka stabilizer. Finally after several people telling me my tires were unbalanced or full of sh-- I took the mechanic on a ride with me and made sure he felt what I was trying to explain, he was hangin on for dear life and got the message! It is a little more expensive to have it fixed at the dealership at 136.00 but at this point I don't care and cant wait to have it done!
