2004 Jeep Wrangler Brakes & Rotors??

OK if you would some informantion first. I would like to know if there is a lift on this jeep and larger tires etc. Aslo does the brake pedal pulsate as the problem begins? The more info you can provide the better. Thanks

The Jeep has no lift kit and has the standard tires. I get brake pedal pulsating and outright failure when operating the vehicle in 4WD. The brake problems don't seem to occur in 2WD.

Ok do you know which 4x4 system you have? Also do you know if you have the factory front limited slip or not? This does change the anti lock and how it reads wheel speed sensors. If you don't know then call you local dealer with the last 8 of the vin number they can answer thar for you.

It has the Command-Trac part-time 4WD system. The dealership could not tell me which differential.

I also need to ask if you do a lot of towing with this jeep? I will look to see what I can find now and get back to me with the answer.

I've hardly done any towing with the Jeep.

Ok so have you checked the tie rod ends and the pitman and idler arms? Have you checked the steering stabilizer to see if it is weak? Also check the front bearings. How do the back brakes wear? Get back to me and we will go from there.

Thanks. I'm going to bring your suggestions to the dealership that replaced the brakes & rotors the last time and see if they can't get it right this time! Unless you have a suggestion of a place that might get this right in the College Park, MD area.
