2002 Jeep Wrangler Fog Lights Randomly turn on

With the lights turned off my fog lights will randomly turn on. If I tap the turn signal\light switch they turn off. If I tap them again they will turn back on. Do I have a bad switch ? It is only the fog lights the have this issue. The other lights are fine.

Have you found the answer to this problem yet? I have a 2002 Wrangler that has the same problem and have not been able to figure it out.

Simple as cake, you have a bad switch. Remove the two screws holding the steering wheel cover fron the consol, unscrew the control mechanism for the lights, pop in the new on....don't forget to pop off the flasher relay and put it on the new controler, and snap on the cover. Tip #1 lower the steering wheel frm the dash for clearence. Tip #2 the locking mechanism for the electrical connections are those little red tabs, slide them back with a screw driver and pull out the plug. the rest is a snap...good luck.

That is what I thought the problem was but have not had a free second to look into it. Thanks for the info
