HELP.... I just got this jeep and I get this clicking noise, maybe once out of twenty times. I turn the key off and restart the engine and the noise is gone. The sound reminds me as if the lifters are not getting oil. I hate to keep running the engine with the noise so I turn it off right away. I heard of oil draining from the oil filter (anti-drain valve) and not having pressure transferred to the engine during start up. The filter is mounted on the side of the block. I used a Fram PH16 filter. Oil pressure is good, 40+ pounds and I used 5w30 synthetic oil. Thanks

I would recommend trying a different filter. Some don't have an anti flow back valve. That may be the problem.

Let me know if it helps.
