I've had to replace my climate control panel three times since buying my Jeep new in 2001. It starts when one fan speed stops working, then another, and another... until all fan speeds stop working. If it goes on long enough the plug will melt to the back of the control panel.
Clearly, treating the symptom is not the best way to go. What could be the root cause of this? It's been happening for years and now my Jeep is out of warranty.
