Six cylinder four wheel drive automatic 82,000 miles

They used to work just fine, then they slowly went down hill. All features worked intermittent low to fast, then only fast. Now nothing works at all they spray juice but that is it. I have replaced fuse even though it was still good. I am wondering if it is the switch or the wiper motor?

If you have have any advice or the answer to my problem I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,

Hi,
Are you getting power to the motor when they are not working? If so, make sure the motor has a good ground and motor and if so, the motor is most likely bad.

Let me know what you find.

Four cylinder four wheel drive manual 45,000 miles

We got snow today, and in the down stroke of the wiper. The wiper got stuck, due to ice. I saw my radio light flash a little. Front windshield wiper and sprayer stopped working. I suspect it to be a fuse. Got into the fuse box and found nothing that said wipers. I visually inspected all fuses they all looked fine. What or where should I check next?

Both not working that will lead me to check fuses. You need to get a test light or a fuse tester and check fuses. that would be my first step.

One thing to try when they do not work is to measure for the presence of voltage on the case of the wiper motor. Alternatively, you might get it to run by pushing on the motor. If you find voltage on the case, there is a bad ground. The whole thing is mounted to a plate on rubber isolators to dampen vibration. There is a brass ground strap riveted to the plate and it goes under the head of one of the three mounting bolts. That is where it burns a spot that causes the bad connection. The best and permanent fix is to attach a ground wire to the plate and to the body. Some older motors had five screws that held the black plastic switch plate to the motor's gear assembly. You can attach a wire to one of those screws. On newer models they used rivets instead of screws. If nothing else presents itself, you can drill a hole in the plate and run a self-tapping screw in to attach the wire.

If you do not find voltage on the motor, (remember, the wipers must be turned on to low or high), check for voltage on the wires in the electrical connector. I will have to dig out a service manual because they took a simple, reliable circuit that I had memorized and added a complicated computer to it.

Six cylinder four wheel drive manual 183,000 miles

I lost my manual and need to figure out why the wipers will not work.

Where on the panel is the fuse? Is there another fuse on the panel near the battery? where on the panel? How do I test? How do i determine if it is the fuse? switch or the motor? How do I get to the motor ?

thanks!
