Our jeep got wet. We went through water and the front end sort of dipped into the water due to a hill at the beginning. About three minutes later it died. We let it dry out for about 6 hours and since then it will start and idle for several munutes but dies when we put it in drive to take off. Then it will start a few minutes later. We have dried out the rotor and distributor cap with a blow dryer. It has been about 2 weeks since we went through the water. We unhooked the battery to see if resetting the computer would help. The only diagnostic code that is reading is #12- battery has been disconnected. Any ideas? Thank you.

Remove negative battery cable, then unplug the connectors at the distributor, PCM and tranny, blow dry them, look for water intrusion at these connectors...
