Did you check all of your pulley wheels for freedom of movement……..no binding……rough sounds when spun……..etc??

Your belt is definitely slipping when under a load………either it is loose or a pulley is not freely spinning………….

Not sure if you have AC or not……….but I have attached the info on belt adjustment. It should barely be ½ inch deflection at the middle point between two pulleys farthest apart.

It looks like for both with AC or without, the longest span is either between the Alternator and Crankshaft pulleys or the idler and power steering pulley.

You have 135K on the engine……..check the alternator pulley really good to see if it spins nice and smooth……………

Sounds odd but you might even go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O’Reilly’s (OR) and for FREE they can bring their tester out and check your battery and alternator. Just to see if the alternator is putting out okay as they will have you run it up to about 2000 rpms………that might show you if it is binding a little……..but definitely do a good visual on all the pulleys for any type of bind, roughness, dry sound when rotated……..etc……

Hello - By the way..........I did think of one other thing and searched through about 50 TSBs seeing if there was a logged problem........didn't see one. But - you may have some recalls on your vehicle. The dealer may fix these for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you.
