In your question it is not clear to me that you understand what 'putting the gas pedal to the floor while cranking' means to a fuel injected vehicle, so I apologize if you new this already. this process is actually telling the computer to 'clear flood mode'. The computer will not fire the fuel injectors if you hold down the gas pedal and crank. Its possible you have a bad temp sensor that is telling the computer the engine is cold so during crank time when your engine is warm, the computer thinks your engine needs more fuel to start than a warm engine does. So anyway, check those temp sensors. You can check them visually by removing and looking for leaks or cracks and with a multimeter.

Do a test on the AIS stepper motor on your throttle body. Reset the map sensor. Check all of the fuel injectors and their pintles for residual leaks. You can remove the fuel injectors from the intake manifold, rotate the fuel rail. Turn the ignition to "ON" so the fuel pump pressurizes the system and check for any leaks at the injector pintles.
