I bought my jeep this spring, and have noticed a bad odor of burnt hair every time I drive it. The longer I drive it, the worse it is. The transmission and clutch seem in fine shape. This vehicle was babied and is in great shape. I just can't place this odor. It doesn't smell like burnt brakes, oil or any of the more common auto smells. We took a a two hour drive, and were about sick from this smell. I figured if a rodent, etc., had gotten up in the enging compartment, it would be toast by now, but it is getting worse.

Hi there,

I would be checking that there is nothing stuck on the exhaust that may be burning when it heats up, start there.
