1993 Jeep Wrangler shifter stuck in 2rd gear

1993 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyl Manual

ok before my shifter got stuck in 3rd grear it would occasionally get stuck then pop out.. now its just stuck in gear and wont come out..am i goin to need a whole new transmissioin or is it worth getting fixed

Well I would guess you have a puegot (sp) tranny. Thats what they do after wearing out. I repaired mine twice. The problem i ran into is the main gear cluster costs as much as a different tranny usually. I swapped mine out when i did an engine upgrade. An ax-5 should be a candidate swap out.
