1992 Jeep Wrangler thermostat

Let the engine cool off, then drain it down about a gallon, there is a draicok on the bottom of the radiator, then follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, there you will find the thermostat at the end of the hose, unbolt the two bolts. leave the hose attached to the housing. Scrape old gasket from both mating surfaces, install new thermostat, spring towards the engine. install the gasket, snug the housing bolts! Not to tight and bring the housing down evenly. refill the coolant and that's it!

How much should a mechanic charge for replacing a thermostat in a 1992 Jeep Wrangler?I was quoted 99-125 does that sound too high?I thought so,for what people were saying seems to be an easy job. Is it really that easy of a job? How do you drain the fluid?That is the one thing I do not understand,how to drain the fluid. Thank you!

It is a 20 minute job, but a garage will get 1 hour labor, plus parts and coolant, 100.00 for a shop is close! If you cannot find the drain on the bottom of the radiator? And you don't mind loosing some coolant on the ground, just remove the thermostat, and replace the lost coolant when youre done.
