1978 Jeep Wagoneer Banging noise in front end

When turing a slow speeds, 5mph-10mph I am hearing a banging noise or popping near the tires. I have recently replaced the transmission and front drive shaft and the noise did not exist before this. It seems to only do this after the car is warmed up. It will happen in reverse and drive. The jeep is full time 4WD with a 401 AMC. Any ideas?
