Also wanted to share a little experience I had this morning. It really brought (back) into focus why we are here and how folks like us can (hopefully) help ease some burdens in life!
Bill is an ex-police officer, karen the wife, bills out on disability(2 heart attacks), karen lost her job .... old truck was toast .... landlord GAVE them some wheels, jeep has issues now, karen had interviews and missed them due to these troubles .... been walkin (15 blocks) in the cold chigago winter just for groceries (-22 the other mornin') I think I've got them fixed up, both had been up 24 hrs trying to get it fixed, we'll see! Both sounded very tired on the phone!
Saying this 'cause THIS is the reason we are all here guys! I was HONORED to have been able to have helped THEM out!
Please don't loose sight of that guys!
