Hello,

Recently I have been having a small problem with my jeep. A few days ago my MIL indicator came on suddenly. Apparently the computer is throwing code p0206. A day or so later my car would idle pretty rough, normally it has a smooth ide and you can barely tell the engine is on, aside from obvious noise. However, Over the weekend it would only idle rough sporadically and the check engine light would go off occasionally as well. what could be causing this? I can tell something is going out, but I'm not sure what (considering the inconsistency of the symptoms and MIL indicator. The car hasn't stalled or died, but it did seem like I wasn't getting the power I am used to around the 50MPH to 65 MPH mark.

Thank you,

The fault code is for the #6 injector. It is quite possible the injector will require replacement. I have had several injectors either show no resistance or were shorted. Most fuel injectors will have about 3 or 4 ohms of resistance. Measure the #6 injector and compare it to the others and let us know what you come up with,we will be here.

i checked injectors #6, #1, and #2 with the car off. They are all measuring the same ohm reading (around 1.0-1.2). Was this the correct way to test these or should I have had the car on or cranked? If this was the correct way. What else could cause this problem?

It is the correct way, yes. Try clearing the fault and switching the injector connectors and see if the fault returns to #6. If so it might be the driver for that injector.
