My 1983 Jeep CJ5's oil pressure is around 50psi when first started and then drops to about 5psi after about 5 minutes. It has an oil sending unit that delivers oil through a tube directly to the gauge. When the engine is off it is possible to see the oil in the tube (which is opaque) drain back into the engine. Any ideas as to why the pressure drops?
