I own a 2006 jeep liberty 2wheel drive automatic 6cyl. The jeep will start just fine, however, when I try to shift it out of park the gear stick won't move out of park. This happened back at the end of May. We ended up getting it out of park by jigglilng around the stick shift and slightly tapping the top of the stick shift. I'm not sure what's going on. I live in a small town, mammoth lakes. The closest jeep dealership is in carson city nevada, about 2 hours away. can you help me?
Thanks for your time.
