Running Hot?

Hello,

Please note that an engine can run hot for several reasons.
It could due to a stuck thermostat (as you have already replaced), It can also be due to a bad water pump or a clog in the cooling system. Another possibility is a inoperative cooling fan.

A failed water pump can unable to to circulate the coolant through the engine, which will lead to overheating.

If the cooling fan does not operate as it is designed to, it can lead to the engine running hot. An inoperative cooling fan can be due to a bad relay or wiring, coolant temperature sensor or the fan motor. Check to see if your fan comes on when the engine is at operating temperature.

If there is a clog or restriction in the coolant system it will also over heat the engine. Try doing a coolant flush. Many times flushing the cooling system improves the engine cooling characteristics.
