Fuel Gauge

Fuel gauge just went to empty even though the tank is full. What happened?

This is common the sender in the tank usually goes bad which makes the gauge act like that. You will need to replace the sender. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for and diagrams to help you on your car below.

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty 4wd 105,000miles . The fuel gauage wont read below 1/2 tank. If I fill it up. It will go to full, after useing the fuel up, it stops at 1/2 tank. We have replaced the Sending Unit (twice )with new from the factory. Also the (BCM)
Body Control Module. also change the Cluster.
Please Help! I keep running out of Gas! I Try to Fill it each time, to reset the miles, but Cant always do that. Im in need of any suggestions as to what else we can check or replace! Thanks So much!

If it was me I'll check for shorts and open on the wiring involving the circuitry and do a voltage drop test
