2004 Jeep Liberty Strange random noise from under car

For the past several weeks I have noticed a strange noise coming from under the vehicle - it never seems to be in the same place. This noise I can only describe as the same sound a racing motorcycle makes as it passes you. It's almost a high pitched "burp". It has happened about 4 times. Three of the times the car has been moving, but under 10 mph. The fourth time, it happened just after I turned the vehicle off.

Did you notice anything not working when it made the noise.

And the fact that it made the noise AFTER you shut if off once is strange. It's going to have to be something operated by electricity.

I heard the noise again when I was putting one of my windows up. I thought back to the other times and I believe that each time I was operating one of the windows.

All of the window controls are on the center console, not on the doors and the noise seems to be coming from directly under the console.

try to pay attention to if it's just one of the windows.
Your truck is known for the window regulators failing.
