the oil pressure sensor is down by the oil filter. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

the engine oil pressure sensor is located on the lower left front of engine, above the oil filter. you may want to check the oil pressure with a mechanical oil pressure gauge, if it really is low then could be a failing oil pump.

Electrical problem
2002 Jeep Liberty 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

The oil light came on at idle when engine was warm. I replaced the oil pressure sensor and the connector pigtail. Now the oil light comes on at 2000 rpm. I checked the oil pressure with mechanical tester. Oil pressure was 28 psi @ idle, and 65 psi @3000 rpm. This seemed within specs. What should I look at next?

Thankyou

Try a different sending unit. It sounds like the new one is bad.

Let me know if this helps.
