The Blower Resistor needs to be replaced. It is behind the glove box. This is a very easy fix. Open the glove box and on both sides you will see two levers that you pull in and the box will open all the way and hang down. There are two 5/16 fastners holding the five wire blower resistor plug in place. Unscrew both fastners on each side. One fastner is located on the top left side, the other fastner on the bottom right side. The bottom right fastner is a bit tight to get in there. You will need an extension on the tool you are using. I used a 5/16 socket with my drill and was successful with that. $20-$30 part. The number 2 went on my blower switch and then my blower motor went out! I am replacing the blower motor now. It seems this is a common problem with the jeeps because I called to get the part and they said they were almost out of stock, and that I was the third guy this week to order one. I found that to be interesting and checked for a recall. It seems the recall for this problem is only for 2006-07 Jeep Liberty's. Mine is an 03 Jeep Liberty Renegade. Hope this helps because it is that time of year when the A/C needs to be on.
