The AC will often run perfectly for long stretches of time. Sometimes though it will start warming, and then cool back down, or it will become hot, and stay hot for awhile. Often when I turn the system off for awhile, it will run cool again. I had it charged earlier this year, after the problem was already noticeable, and it was fine for a week, then the problem started up again. I then put it into service where they put the dye in, and found no leaks a week later. The Jeep parts guy at the dealership said it could be a "low pressure transducer". I told this to the repair shop, and they said no, but if it keeps acting up I may need a new core. That is a pricey fix as I had it done on a 2000 Grand Cherokee. Could it be the transducer, or even something else?

It could be the transducer. Chrysler/Jeep had some problems with them and if it fails it will shut the a/c down. They come with a new connector to be wired in as well.
