2004 Jeep Laredo Keyless entry

To enter we now have to put the open or shut button within 3" of the drivers window. The batteries have been replaced but the system has lost its range.

Is there an antenna some place that may have been disconnected?

is this the stock remote, or do you have an aftermarket system with remote start like a Viper system??? if its stock, i suggest bringing it to the dealer, as they know that system best....
