truck acted like it was starving for gas. checked fuel filter, and it was stopped up. replaced it, and it ran well for about a week. started again. fuel filter was ok this time; dropped tank and pulled fuel pump; strainer was black as coal. replaced strainer, an now truck won't start. just a trickle coming through injector (TBI), instead of cone=shaped spray. tried to clean injector, made no difference. replaced injector... same old thing. pulled fuel line loose and turned over engine. fuel is coming through the line, but it's not what i would call a great stream. i don't have test equipment, so all i can do is process of elimination... i'm thinking i've wasted my money for an injector, when i have a bad fuel pump. your input? listen, guys... i am poor as a church mouse. i would gladly donate to have my question answered. but i have to buy parts with money i can't afford to let go of already. please help me out. all i can pay you is a prayer for God's blessing in your life.
