1986 Jeep Comanche ignition not firing 86 jeep comanche 2.5

See my profile, Just for Dookies and Giggles, In order that we might rule out a--- "KEY- COIL"---problem.....short/ loose connection/ broke wire/ switch......that might be "in between" these 2 items. What we're gonna do is: Use a jumper, similar to in my pic, 5-10 amp fuse will protect this circuit..My pic shows a 20 amp, over-kill but better than NO PROTECTION AT ALL ! ! ! If we BLOW 3 FUSES---DISREGUARD THIS ENTIRE ANSWER ! ! ! Maybe other answers will show up!!! We are going to jump from the POSITIVE POST ON THE BATTERY. Over to the POSITIVE SIDE OF THE COIL, Leave the plastic connector on the coil, shove something--small, narrow, and conductive, in beside the matal of the POS side wire (insure good contact) This Pic was for a Jeep CJ 5, Bypassing the light switch, using the floor dimmer wire connection, DISREGUARD !!! We got him straight ! If this cranks your rig up....something is wrong back thru system toward key. RIG will run this way, the only way to kill it, is to remove the jumper.
