83 Jeep CJ7 hesitates to throttle

I have an 83 Jeep CJ 7 and have a problem that when I try and push the gas pedal it almost dies unless I let off. If i ease on the gas very slowly it will rev up fine but if i step on it, it sounds like its getting choked out, as if the fuel lines were being pinched. Please help. I have replaced the fuel pump and filter, and all of the fuel lines under the hood.
