Brakes problem
1985 Jeep CJ7 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I need to replace the front brake lines and the old lines bolt directly into the caliper with a 5/16 fitting - the only replacement lines i can find require a banjo bolt. In order to replace the brake lines i think i need a 5/16 banjo bolt however i cannot find one of those from your typical automotive parts store. The local Jeep deal sold me replacement parts 3/8 banjo bolts - these don't fit. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong - do i need to new calipers? Do i need to find break lines with a 5/16 fitting? or do i need to find 5/16 banjo bolts and hope they fit the Russell Brakelines i purchased from 4WD. The jeep dealer is no help and i can find no publication that tells me what the stock setup should be. Help?
