On the fuse block, locate the steel round piece, it's called the flasher...replace it.

i tried replacing it, but nothing not even a click. the switch in the colum is in bad shape it only will click once to the left position. i went to look at it but somebody broke a bolt off where you should put a puller. could be the switch

If it's a simple switch and not a multifunction, it should be fairly simple to cut the wires and put in a toggle type...

Check the grounds on your front turn signals. Mine was doing the same thing (also the dash blinker lights would stay on constantly when the turn signal would turned on) and it turned out that the grounds were no good. May have to install a ground wire instead of relying on the housing/grill connection.

ok so herers what i got so far. i replaced the flasher, got the steering wheel off, replaced both park lamps just becuase one was beyond repair. now ive got hazards, but when i turn on the left signal both rear flash and only the L front. when i turn on the right i only get the R front. i haven't replaced the turn signal switch yet i'm picking that up today hopefully. i'm only replacing it becuse the plastic is old and brittle and in many pieces.

Well if the plastic is brittle and busted up, it can be allowing continuity were none should exist...
