See my profile, Your factory ignition system, had a COIL which said, "For use with External Resistor"your rig has a "resistance wire", to the coil, in the wiring harness!
New Coil is probably dropping your voltage (Double, what it should be!)
Just to see if I'm right, and to see if this solves the "lack of fuel" problem.(maybe lack of volts)
If you still have a problem, we will work thru that, too
Here's the TEST----hook a TEMPORARY jumper wire from POS BATT post to POS COIL terminal(using paper clip in coil plastic cover) Insure good connections.
We are bypassing ALL RESISTANCE---Full 12V to coil.......how's it run now?
If we are GOOD now, remove TEMP jumper and replace your coil with one saying, "USE WITH EXTERNAL RESISTOR".....The stock ones work just fine!
The resistance wire cuts the 12V down to like 8V (reduced volts aids in ignition), Another resistor in the equation cuts it EVEN MORE!!!
This temporary jumper, is acting just like the Solenoid at start-up, Full 12V to coil momentarily.
Please reply below as I did you, I will HELP you forever if necessary....just a volunteer here, CJs are my "Thing" (all problems)
