I sorta live here, at the CJ 5 and CJ 7 forums....waiting for ya'll..............Please read the posts in both forums.......alot of it may help you, maybe in the future.

To answer your question, the V.R. is inside your alternator....It is sorta crescent moon shaped, and ceramic (The little plastic rectangular connector, with the mid-push type lock tab, 2 female terminals)----PLUGS INTO IT! (from the outside of the case)

Normally when it goes......you buy a new alternator.

It can be replaced, but really ain't worth the effort, unless you KNOW YOUR STUFF!!!

If you are having an issue with itTake him to Advance Auto or Autozone, the Alternator can be tested, ON or OFF of your Jeep.....FOR FREE!!!!!

Both stores have Online capabilities....

Under $50, lifetime warranty, a lot of the time!

Has your buddy done tore up your Jeep? Always blame him, when something has gone wrong!

Maybe I can assist you.....I have absolutely nothing else to do......CJ have few problems, I wait here, forever for you fellers.

I enjoy answering CJ Stuff and Talking Jeep

Mega Detail helps me out on my end, please throw something out.....Right here, no need for a new question, to be submitted.

I have made a few really decent Jeep Buddies here!

Heres one of my Babies, below,

Your turn (reply to question)
