Jeep Grand Cherokee '94, 140,000 mi., 4.0 liter, manual transmission.
Ongoing a/c problem can't be located by dealer service techs. Air conditioning works great only occasionally. It will stop working for days on end, and then suddenly begin working again for whatever period of time it pleases, then stop.
Dealer techs are stumped. The only clue I have is that the cessation (or resumption) of the a/c happens after car has been stopped and the ignition has been turned off, and then on again for the next trip.
When the a/c is working, the air is very cool and blows just as it should do all the time.
Do you have any suggestions?
