I am getting a small clunking sound from the rear of my Jeep whenever I accelerate or swerve from side to side violently. I put it up on the stands and when I shake my back drivers side tire the whole tire moves in and out ever so slightly, drum and all. Could this be a bearing going or gone? I changed the seals in it this past spring and was told my bearings looked fine. Any input would be appreciated. If you changed the rear seals, make sure that the clips holding the shaft in the dif are ok. It may be that one worked loose (if you didn't use new ones).
It's also a good idea, when you replace the rear axel seals, that you go ahead and replace the berings too, just to be safe. Also check the fluid for signs of metal shavings that may indicate a gear moving around in a way it's not supposed to.

Put it back up on stands, and shake EVERYTHING a little to see if you can find something loose. Make sure to lubricate all of your suspension joints with a high quality silicone lube. If something is binding up, it will cause a clunk that will transmit through the unibody frame. Also check the front suspension for binding. noise can be transmitted from the front, and sound like it's comming from the rear.
