We have a 2001 jeep cherokee we recently just had it serviced due to the al the gagues going out on us so the replaced the main computer to the vehicle.Shortly after drving it the charging system gauge started to max out again over charging the system therefore we returned it and they seen the problem themselves and they got a used wiring harness to see if that was the problem but the problem still exsisted therefor they replaced the alternator and one our way home from picking it up the gauges over charged again and we are back to the same problem. the dealership says they are stumped and dont know what to do for us to just drive it .Any info anyone can give us ?

Have the PCM check it controls the field winding circuit to the alternator. also check the dark green wire between the PCM and alternator.
