Please could you help ?? i have replaced the front calipers on my cherokee 2.5 td orvis and they are sticking on i have put new pads on calipers cleaned them out ,put them back together and within a mile on the test drive they had stuck on and started smoking with heat and destroyed the new pads again .. all components were cleaned de rusted and so on .. could it be something further up the line ?? master cylinder servo i have no idea !!! please can any one help ?? i would be greatfull for a answer to this probl;em as i am now stumped !! thanks mick ..

See my profile, I have seen people apply their brakes and ONE caliper lock down and stay locked.

This was due to a BRAKE hose going to that specific wheel, I call it, "CHECK VALVING".

It would allow fluid INTO PISTON, but would somehow close up and not allow fluid to "RELIEVE" back into system.

Since I don't know your rig, there may be a hose common to both sides, doing this BAD thing, to both sides, if this be the case.

May also have something to do with the proportioning valve or antilock system. I'm lost there, know conventional brakes mostly.

I saw you were without an answer, I know how it is to be without your baby, your motivation dies off, hope for a quick, inexpensive repair eats at you.

I really hope that my answer is your light at the end of the tunnel.
