1998 Jeep Cherokee transmition fluid change

Hi.I just got a jeep cherokee 1998 with over 153000 miles on it and first owner caled me couple days ago with news that transmition fluid has never been changed in this vehicle.Can I do that service even with this milege?What king of fluid i99s best for such an old jeep?

You would proably be better off taking it to a garage where they can exchange all the fluid and put a new filter in.
