Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I replaced the serpentine belt, but at the time I did not have a tensionometer for the belt, I started the engine and received a little rattling, so I shut it down and did an inspection and at the time found no abnormalities the belt was still tight and nothing loose was on the engine. So I restarted the engine and had metal to metal banging, upon closer inspection I found the crankshaft pulley gear had slipped forward off the crankshaft, what if anything can I do about it.

thx

Try tightening the crankshaft pulley bolt to its flush and torque it to specs
