1997 Jeep Cherokee Catalytic converter/O2 sensor

I removed the catalytic converter and cut the wires to O2 sensor. Engine is running bad. How do I trick the computer so that it runs better?

See my profile..........If I were going to make a WILD AS GUESS......I would probably attempt running the cut wiring, up to the existing upstream O2 sensor, and hooking the SENDER wire to the existing sensor sender wire......if the missing one was a heated sensor, leave those wires out of the equation. Like I said at 1st, W.A.G........hang around see if somebody SHOOTS me down. NO WARRANTY AT TURDDOG-R-US
