1996 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

WHILE DRIVING CAN NOT SHIFT TO 4TH. GEAR , BUT WHEN PARKED I CAN SHIFT TO 4TH GEAR.
CHECKED TRANS OIL, LEVEL CORRECT.

Symptom indicates a bad 4th synchronizer hub or excessive clearance between the gear and hub. This could be due to worn synchronizer ring or a worn clutch shaft bearing and you would have to disassemble the trans to check/repair problem.

It has to be in neutral to get into 4 low
